About Brent

Education:

I have lived on the North Shore for over 60 years. I grew up in Dundarave, attending Irwin Park Elementary, Pauline Johnson, and eventually graduated from the now torn down Hillside Secondary. I attended post-Secondary at both Capilano College, and U.B.C., although being an academic genius was not in my long term plans.

Work History:

After my formal education I pursued sales careers with I.B.M., and the retail industry working for Ingledew Shoes, and The Swedish Jeweler. In 1983 I embraced the opportunity to jump into a real estate career, and I have never looked back.

Real Estate:

I originally joined Bell Realty in West Vancouver in 1983 and was fortunate to achieve M.L.S. Medallion status in my first year. After six record breaking sales years, I was encouraged, (talked into) openning my own Company. In December 1989 I partnered to open "Re/Max Masters" in West Vancouver.

In 1996 I sold my company interests and returned to my first love, selling Real Estate. For forty years now I have been successfully assisted clients make important home moves having sold well over 1400 homes totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. I have received many prominent personal awards including the very prestigious status of “Life Member” of the Vancouver Real Estate Board, as well as the Re/Max “Hall of Fame.”

Personal Life:

I am happily married to my wife Marliese. We both love nature and animals. We recently welcomed a new Westie puppy "Lexie" into our home.! You will often see us outdoors enjoying dog walking,  golfing, hiking, cycling, gardening, and snow shoeing. We are also very passionate about cooking and entertaining. We have two children, Christine & Mark both living on the North Shore. We also have four grandchildren, Ronan, Julianna, Holden and Alexandra. Marliese & I look forward to our summer getaways to the interior or Vancouver Island, and our annual winter holiday on Maui.

Strange but True:

My father was a very successful stock broker in Vancouver from 1959-1973. He decided to retire at 48 and chose to move to India in 1974 to become a monk. My sister Susan is a monk as well having moved there in 1980. I have enjoyed my many visits to the beautifully spiritual “Sivananda Ashram” in the town of Rishikesh. While my father recently passed away, my sister is still alive and well.

My Pledge to You:

I commit to always delivering to you the four most important qualities you will need to achieve a successful Real Estate move. First; outstanding communication and people skills, second; flawless current and historical statistical and product knowledge, third; unmatched negotiating skills; and fourth; to be "personally" available to perform all tasks required in the process of buying or selling your home. These qualities will save you time and money and provide you with a memorable stress free Real Estate experience!
