About Marliese

Education:

I grew up on Vancouver Island graduating from Ladysmith Secondary. My post-secondary education included attendance at Malaspina College, where I graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant. I also gained experience in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing with Blanche Macdonald, as well as advanced sales and marketing training at B.C.I.T.

Work History:

After my formal education, I spent seven years as a Certified Dental Assistant on Vancouver Island before making the jump to the Lower Mainland where I subsequently seized the opportunity to enter the Dental sales field. I spent over 25 years in commission sales with two of the most prominent North American Dental Companies, Henry Schein Arcona, and Patterson Dental. I was responsible for supplying Dentists with all equipment and supplies required to run their business, as well as legistical consultation in new office setup and design.

Real Estate:

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to have another exciting career. It was not long after my retirement from the Dental Industry in 2011, that I embraced the opportunity to join Brent in the rewarding business of assisting clients with buying and selling homes.

Personal Life:

I am passionate about gardening, painting, hiking, cycling, golfing and cooking. Rarely does a day go by where I fail to partake in several of these activities. Lately I have expanded my carreer in the visual art field specializing in abstract collage and recently launched my web page for my art at www.marlieseeilersart.com. I love nature, birds and animals, in particular Westie puppies!  I am also greatly enjoying the priviledge of being a grandmother to four lovely grandchildren!

Heritage:

I was born in the Netherlands and came to Canada with my family at the age of two. My father was of Dutch decent, and my mother was German. Like most pioneers my parents sacrificed greatly to come to Canada in the pursuit of a better life. In my younger years, a very modest lifestyle allowed me to experience what it was really like to start a new life from the ground up. I have two older brothers, Gerry and Hans, both living on Vancouver Island.
